The Genesee County Health Department's 2008 Public Health Week Conference, "Building the Future of Public Health: Refocus, Redesign, Reenergize" brings together many groups of professionals and community members and serves as a catalyst for addressing contemporary challenges facing public health. Participants will have opportunities to discuss the changing dynamics of public health as well as issues that are essential to the future of public health, including health equity, social justice, racial disparities, emergency preparedness, mental health impacts, and women's roles as health leaders. With this, we aim to strengthen Public Health efforts and improve the public's health in Genesee County and beyond!
