The Indiana State Department of Health, the Indiana Public Health Association, and the IU School of Medicine Department of Public Health Office of Public Health Practice are presenting a joint National Public Health Week Conference, Building the Foundation for a Healthy Indiana. This two-day conference is designed for professionals in local and state government agencies, health-related organizations, academics, environmental affairs, clinical medical care, health administration, and policy.
The conference will offer:

*Special student tracks for graduate and undergraduates
*Trade show
Sessions will cover a variety of public health issues. Specific focus will be on health reform, environmental health, professional development, public health science, and promising practices. A student track will be available on April 8 and is designed for graduate and undergraduate students.
Building the Foundation for a Healthy Indiana will be held at the new Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Campus Center on April 7-8, 2009. Registration costs $85 per day or $160 for both days. Students may attend for $45 per day, with some scholarships available. The registration fee includes all sessions, access to the trade show, participant materials, certificate, parking, continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon break service.
Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available, starting at $250. All packages include at least one complimentary registration, a booth for two days, and the opportunity to present at an exclusive career fair for students.
